Art and beauty surround us – in the colors of our world, the textures, the designs of the smallest items with which we come in contact every day. For me, photography helps me to notice the everyday things that might otherwise get overlooked: stirring paint and seeing the pigments swirl into the base, the shiny edges of an old iron tool polished by time, the beauty in a single character in a typeface.
We're constantly bombarded with new technologies, yet the still photo somehow manages to capture the imagination and provide meaning in a way no other medium can.
